Tipps

Tip 14:
Iy you want to know the source of an entry just click on it while holding the Ctrl-key on your keyboard. Then you will see the source in the status bar at the bottom of the program.

Tip 13:
If you click with your right mouse button on the fourth icon from the left in the button bar you will see an alternative view of your logbook. That means for example if you have chosen in your profile the detail logbook you will see the simple logbook.

Tip 12:
You can move the mouse pointer over the line and dot graphs and will see a small tooltip box with the exact reading time and number.

Tip 11:
If you want to see how your condition has changed in the last time, you can select an appropriate time range for the statistics. With the navigation keys (arrows) on the statistic screen you can step to the previous or following time frame and see directly how the levels have been changed.

Tip 10:
If you are just importing data of the same blood glucose meter, you can right-click on the meter-button: SiDiary will open the last used meter driver automatically without displaying the selection list!

Tip 9:
Pumpers who have pretty small dosage of insulin, i.e. kids or teens can use step sizes of 0.001 insulin units. You can also use this increments if you are using diluted insulin.

Tip 8:
You can add new types of pills or insulins with the appropriate screen at the profile tab. Although this screen isn't available on the Smartphone (due to screen size) you can add your pills/insulin and let SiDiary sync them to your mobile device!

Tip 7:
If you want to enter a licence key on your smartphone, you don't need to toggle between text input mode and number input mode. Just hold the appropriate number key for a while and the number will become visible even in text mode.

Tip 6:
SiDiary will convert time inputs in military notation automatically with your format settings. Example: If you are working with am/pm setting, you can enter 1630 and SiDiary will convert this into 4:30p.

Tip 5:
You can leave out the leading 0 for values smaller than 1. SiDiary will add the zero number, if you have finished your input of i.e. ,5 and will autocomplete this to 0,5. That makes data tracking on a Pocket PC easier.

Tip 4:
If you are unsecure about the amount of carb intake and you are working with exchanges, you can track this as a range, i.e. 5-6, which means that you are thinking the carb exchanges of your meal should be in range between 5 and 6. SiDiary will calculate with the average of this information, 5.5 for all statistics.

Tip 3:
You can track a bolus injection that was a sum of a correction part and one for your meal as 2 seperate fragments, i.e. like 2+7. From this value you can see directly the 2 units for correction of a too high level and the 7 units for carbs. SiDiary will calculate with the sum of 9 for all statistics.

Tip 2:
Entries for bolus- and/or Basal-input of the second drug type can be marked by an *. If you are using a short acting insulin in most situations but using an analog insulin like Humalog i.e. for corrections of very high levels you could track such injections with 5*...

Tip 1:
Blood glucose levels can be marked to be a hypoglycemia by adding a single or double minus character. If you have had hypo symptoms and you did not take a bg reading you can even track this with -/--. The statistics details will count such entries and give you the total number of mild and strong hypoglycemias.
